“Stillness is the canvas against which movement can become beautiful…” John O’Donohue
This exhibition addresses the mystical, fluid and multi-dimensional experience of energy in space and time. The work expresses abstract concepts beyond what the eye can see in an exploration of how we and everything in existence are luminous moments in time…interconnected energy that is paradoxically quiet/dynamic, light/dark, same/different, tiny/vast, finite/infinite…
Each piece represents what is right in front of us, yet more deeply expressed and more intimately portrayed. The images free the mind and heart to glimpse the invisible, and offer a subtle invitation to cross the threshold from the known into the unknown…into stillness and contemplation about the nature of our reality.
More about feeling than narrative, the work asks the viewer to pause and sense the vibrational resonance…notice how it charges space with the emotion of its presence and become aware of the felt sense it evokes. Felt sense allows focus to shift from the wandering mind and the frantic world to the breath, to the present moment…to timeless, formless, loving presence.
Luna photographs small, simple assemblages, using the effects of natural light, shadow and movement to create abstracted forms. The resulting photographs are printed on archival paper and mounted onto maple panel. An overlay of wax is then hand applied to the surface, which provides a protective layer and infuses each piece with the loving touch of hand. The wax is the final element that creates a diffused veil of mystery, sensuality and elegance.
