A Message From The Artist:
"I’m creating figures in landscapes using a language similar to dreams. Beginning with clouds of charcoal dust and random marks on panel, I look for hints of images and stories that I can pull out and refine. In this way, I’m running interference with the logical mind, entering through a side door. It’s not that I don’t trust the logical mind, only that it feels incomplete. For me, this approach honors what is unknowable. As I refine the images, lived experience comes into play and a narrative often emerges. In the end, I hope to present an organized system that rubs up against the strangeness and wonder of living."
