The exhibition centers around its namesake, “Let’s Get Lost,” as it is Phillip Trussell’s preference to engage with mediums in a style which can only be described as an attempt to lose oneself. Both collections on exhibit will highlight themes of omnipresence and the power of the unknowing.
Since the debut of Sentences, Phillip Trussell continues to write new works as a daily practice. Select new works will be available for purchase along with all paintings at the exhibit. This exhibit will be the first time that viewers will be able to see Trussell’s writing and painting paired visually together as one.
“Let’s Get Lost” will be on display at Cloud Tree Studios and Gallery, located at 3411 E 5th St., Austin, TX, 78702 from May 19 through June 1, 2024. The gallery is open from noon to five, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday by appointment only.
The opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 7-10pm.
Artist Talk will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 3-5pm.
