Toys in the Attic is the transference of Lucas Aoki’s characters which have leapt from his paintings into the physical realm as vibrant small-scale sculptures and mixed media pieces. Many symbols of this show are marks of a personal and artistic turning point, combining painting, repurposed objects, and sculpture in a journey that balances Lucas’s past with the exploration of new ideas and experiences.
