Pink Moon: New paintings
By Lane Rockford Orsak
April 14th - 24th
“During the early months of the pandemic, my garden was blowing up with color, the energy was visceral…Holding paint brushes annoyed me and being careful was agonizing, so I began using my hands and adding other media. I found I could get to more of my feelings. I was intrigued with creating a shape and feeling free to remove it, or leave a part of it exposed, or faintly revealed, like human emotions and what we choose to show, say, or reveal. I refer to the work as “graphic expressionism,” as I am concerned with composition and line, while conveying real expression and deeply personal feelings.” —Lane Orsak
